This baby nail trimmer files nails smooth instead of cutting them, with no exposed blade near tiny fingers. It is made for newborn and up, and six graded pads cover newborn through toddler nails.

The Olababy electric nail trimmer uses soft oscillating pads that smooth the nail edge with no exposed blade, and its motor runs quietly enough to use on a sleeping baby. An LED front light is built in for night trims, and the trimmer is USB rechargeable, so there are no batteries to hunt for.

How do I trim a sleeping baby's nails?

Wait until your baby is settled asleep, then use the Olababy electric nail trimmer, whose motor is quiet enough for a sleeping baby. Switch on the LED front light so each nail is easy to see in a dim room, hold one finger at a time, and let the oscillating pad smooth the edge. The pad files rather than cuts, so there is no exposed blade near the finger.

Which nail trimmer pad should I use at each age?

Match the pad to your baby's nails: the Olababy trimmer's six pads are graded by age, from the finest grade for paper-thin newborn nails through to toddler nails, with an adult polish grade for parents. Start on the newborn grade and move up as nails grow thicker. Worn pads can be replaced by grade with the Olababy replacement pads.

How do I stop my baby scratching their face?

Keep your baby's nails short and smooth, which is the job the Olababy electric nail trimmer is built for. Newborn nails are paper-thin, grow fast and scratch, and the trimmer files each edge smooth rather than cutting it. Because it runs quietly and has no exposed blade, a short filing session can fit into a nap, so regular trims are easier to keep up.
